Honestly, I think the whole thing was... Controversial. Slightly ridiculous, considering that Merida is the exact kind of person who HATES such celebrations. And glitters. She'd rather be covered in hay and dust, and seeing her so joyful was so... wrong! At least to me.
So I tried to give sense to the whole thing XD
And yes, Hiccup. Because Mericcup should be canon.
