Gosh guys, I can proudly say that I LOVE London. It's so well organized, clean, full of wonderful places... The only things it needs are a good weather (even if there was a nice sun the last three days) and good food. Not that english food isn't good, but I kinda missed italian cuisine XD Pastaaaa!
Talking about food, I finally tasted cupcakes. Yup, I never tasted one: they're a little too sugary for me, but they look so cute X3
If you'll ever visit London, I suggest you to not miss these places:
-Natural History Museum: wonderful, just wonderful. The dinosaurs section is simply awesome, children were so amazed by all those skeletons, not to mention the T-Rex! Heck, even I gaped when I saw it!
-Kensgsington Gardens: with Peter Pan's statue and so many squirrels! I didn't expect they would come so close to me, hoping to get some peanuts probably. But when they saw I didn't have any, they immediately dashed away (they felt betrayed!!!). Parks in London are so peaceful, I wish there were as many here in Italy.
-Westminster Abbey: huge and mystical, I had to pay a ticket to visit it but it was worthy! It's like a pantheon of british rulers, artists, writers and scientists.
-Portobello and Notting Hill: it's such an elegant zone, so different from the metropolitan centre of London, it's like if time had stopped there. Such a pity I visited it only on the last day!
-Hamleys: a HUGE toy shops, with five floors of plushies, games, magical tricks, models, funny stuff and candies! Yup, candies! On the fifth floor! XD
-Harrods: honestly, the first time I visited Harrods I hated it, since it was litterally CROWDED. But I visited it a second time, and actually found it was really beautiful. Full of expensive shops, lights, perfumes... It deserves at least some minutes of your time, even just to peek from the door and have a quick look, you won't regret it!
Most probably I forgot to add something, considering that a whole week wasn't enough to properly enjoy this great city. It has been a beautiful surprised, I expected it to be crowded and chaotic, and found instead that it's very lively but perfectly livable, granting every kind of service. Oh, and if you visit London, take the tube to move from a place to another one. It's quick, easy and very typical! i loved the tube! X3
Okay, now that this dream is over, back to my duties. Studying, exams and all that jazz. I really didn't miss it. ._.
